Procedure:

  • cerecDr Connell evulates the tooth and administers anesthetic, as necessary to keep the patient pain free
  • The tooth is then prepared
  • In place of the unpleasent impression, Dr. Connell takes a digital picture with a special camera.

  • The Cerec machine then incorporates the information from the picture and makes a 3-D model on the computer screen. Dr. Connell then uses his dental expertise to design the restoration
    on the Cerec machine.

  • Once Dr. Connell accepts the restoration design, the information is sent to the milling machine that creates the restoration from a ceramic block that matches your tooth color. It then takes 15- 20 minutes to mill the restoration.
  • Lastly, Dr. Connell will make some final adjustments, and cement the restoration.
